Marble is from nature and it contains iron inside so it can be prone to staining and etching, we need to take measures to prevent them, such as using sealing adhesives.

Marble seal is ok, it can protect the inside structure, you can buy it from the hardware store.

1. Test the marble sealer on a small area.

It takes about 4-5 hours to dry, and 24 hours after sealing the surface in a ventilation condition.

It may change "color" after installation because it is natural marble, therefore we need to seal or cover epoxy mortars on the surface. And the most important is to to wait for absolute dryness after every installation step.

Marble is soft and porous in nature, but it can be scratched and stained after a long time of use, Therefore, it needs to be sealed regularly, like for 1 year, and often clean the backsplash with a soft stone cleaner.

Yes, fine scratches can be removed with automotive paint buffing compound and a handheld polisher. A company technician should take care of the deeper scratches.

To care for your marble mosaic, follow the care and maintenance guide. Regular cleansing with a liquid cleanser with mild ingredients to remove mineral deposits and soap scum. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, scouring pads, scrapers, or sandpaper on any part of the surface.
To remove built-up soap scum or difficult-to-remove stains, use varnish thinner. If the stain is from hard water or mineral deposits, try using a cleaner to remove iron, calcium, or other such mineral deposits from your water supply. As long as the label directions are followed, most cleaning chemicals will not damage the surface of the marble.

Do not directly install the mosaic tile on drywall, it is recommended to coat thin-set mortar which has a polymer additive. Thus the stone will be installed on the wall stronger.
